Integrative Psychiatric Care for OCD, Anxiety, and Insomnia
Welcome!
My name is Lizzy and I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner with a doctorate in nursing practice from the University of Washington. I am passionate about helping people who are struggling with obsessive and compulsive thoughts and behaviors, generalized anxiety, and/or insomnia.
I work collaboratively with patients to find their best path forward, whether that means medication and/or supplement management, discussing lifestyle changes, or a combination of approaches. My therapeutic approach draws heavily from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), which includes present awareness and self-compassion practices. For folks struggling with insomnia, I offer cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-i).
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a registered nurse on the inpatient psychiatry units at Harborview Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital. These experiences gave me a deep appreciation for the complexity of each individual, the impact of systemic issues on mental health, and the importance of compassionate, person-centered care.
My approach to care is integrative and patient-centered—I believe that understanding your unique history, preferences, and lifestyle is essential to creating a treatment plan that truly supports your well-being.
